Whitefield Therapy

Services & Fees

Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. Qualifications, experience and approach all matter, but so does something much simpler: whether you feel comfortable talking to the person in front of you.

Free 30-minute introductory call

For that reason, I offer a free 30-minute introductory call before you decide whether you would like to work with me. This gives you an opportunity to meet me, talk a little about what has brought you to counselling, discuss what you would like to get from therapy, and ask any questions you may have about the way I work.

There is no expectation that you need to make a decision during the call. A good therapeutic relationship is one of the foundations of effective counselling, and sometimes the most important thing you can learn from an introductory conversation is simply whether a therapist feels like the right fit for you.

Counselling

50-minute session — £55

I offer individual psychotherapeutic counselling for adults, with sessions usually lasting 50 minutes.

Sessions are available online via Zoom or in person in Hemel Hempstead.

Counselling can provide a confidential space to explore whatever is happening in your life at your own pace. You do not need to arrive with a neatly defined problem or a particular diagnosis. Sometimes people come to therapy because of a specific difficulty or loss; at other times there may simply be a sense that something is not working as they would like it to.

My role is not to tell you what you should do, but to work alongside you in understanding your experiences, patterns and needs, and to help you explore what change might look like for you.

Concessionary rates are available on request. If the standard fee would make accessing therapy difficult, you are welcome to ask about this.

Clinical Supervision

  • 45 minutes — £45
  • 90 minutes — £80

I offer clinical supervision to counsellors and therapists, including those in training and those already established in practice.

I see supervision as more than simply reviewing client work or meeting professional requirements. It should also provide space to reflect on your own responses, think about the therapeutic relationship, explore uncertainty and develop confidence in the way you practise.

My background in counselling education, individual supervision and group supervision means that I particularly value supervision as a collaborative process. It is a place where questions can be explored openly, including the ones for which there may not be an immediate or obvious answer.

Fees

My fees are reviewed periodically and may increase over time to reflect both the rising cost of living and the experience and professional development I bring to my work.

Any changes to ongoing session fees will always be discussed in advance rather than introduced without notice.

If you are considering counselling or clinical supervision and would like to find out whether working together feels right, you are welcome to arrange a free 30-minute introductory call.
